TAMPA BAY FILM OPINION:
Another excellent "Web Cast" VLOG format indie film series with great acting and this really shows what is possible with next to no budget. Who needs special effects, extras, and location permits when you have a great story, tight scrip, and a good actress? Since this is a realistic and horrific scenario which could actually happen here in Tampa Bay, this makes the story especially disturbing. Highly Recommended.

MUSIC VIDEO : Skittles
PRODUCTION: The Charming Hooligans: Joe Davidson, Jason Kraynek, Chris Gorges, and Marty Hoffman
GENRE: Comedy
CONTENT WARNING: Guidance Suggested.
TOTAL RUNNING TIME (TRT): 04:10
TAMPA BAY FILM OPINION:
What in the .....?!?!?! A very, very strange video parody on the Skittles candy starring Joe Davidson as a sailor. We're guessing that they are going for the Village People theme because, in this video, Skittles is laced with an acid-type aphrodisiac drug and makes manly men happy and skip'n GAY. Alrighty, now, we get it. Skittles.. Rainbow colors... Village people. This needed to be more creative and original. Very poorly shot and executed, and disturbing on so many levels - what is up with mixing Enya and Britney Spears? We found this very funny, too, especially after seeing the man who would go on to co-create the excellent 100 Tears. Tampa indie filmmaking has come a long way since 1999, and Joe Davidson (the Sailor) proves that, once again, he is an acting God.

This production was filmed in Panavision® entirely in Florida and Oregon. The part for the extraordinarily beautiful Native American Indian dream girl,"Sacawajea", was played by Angela Croce who was 15 years old at the time. The nude silhouette was played by Vanessa Kate Vaudo (23) of Sarasota, FL.

TAMPA BAY FILM OPINION:
What's this? A 48 hour film entry that is actually good? It speaks volumes about the talent behind this short film. Top-notch camera work, acting, sound, and story come together for a really slick little piece. It is too bad that the compression used on the upload made the credits unreadable, because these filmmakers need to be known. The title sequence was excellent, too.

SHORT FILM: Last Minute Gift

GENRE: Comedy
CONTENT WARNING: General audiences.
TOTAL RUNNING TIME (TRT): 06:47
TAMPA BAY FILM OPINION:
Another entry in Tampa's 48 hour film "contest". A bit rough because of the rush job. Shooting a film next to busy Bayshore in south Tampa was a mistake (due to noise and long takes), and the acting was either unrehearsed, or really bad if it was rehearsed. We did like the story, the ending, and the use of music through the creative commons license. Let this be a lesson that these 48 hour contests are wastes of time, because the time constraints handicap the filmmaker. The execution could have been much better if they had time to cast real actors and took their time planning, shooting, and editing.

Wow. We want to see this film today. The acting and the filmed scenes are some of the best ever for any Tampa Bay film production company. What if you don't belong? In POP, four teenage girls that are outcasts try to make a stand and have their voice heard. TAMPA BAY FILM OPINION:
Wow. We want to see this film today. The acting and the filmed scenes are some of the best ever for any Tampa Bay film production company. The premise, however, reminds some of us of the Lizzie Mcguire movie where the character has to take the place of a singer who looks exactly like her; Pop is darker, more realistic, and would do the premise justice. Chris Woods power!
