THE RESPONSE TO THE REVIEW OF THE TAMPA FILM REVIEW

THE PAUL GUZZO LETTER

Guzzo's letter is in white. Comments to some statements by C. A. Passinault are in blue.

From: "Paul Guzzo"

Subject: Slamming Young FIlmmakers

Look man ... I could care less about your reviews and opinions of me - really. And I am not saying this to get under your skin, but to be honest - you're a nobody ... your pathetic ... your insane (slander! - CAP) and a liar (slander! - CAP)... you were thrown off a set for (slanderous rumor that Guzzo is spreading that cannot be proven and could get him sued. - CAP). You claim it is a lie - if it is, doesn';t it make it worse that she thought you were so CREEPY that she lied to get you thrown off set?!?! (This did not happen, either- I was never thrown of the set of The Quiet Place film and was not even aware that these people were spreading lies about me until months later when Paul threw it in my face after losing a debate with me. Additionally, the actress in question has talked with me many times since the film wrapped; she is annoyed that she was brought into their lies when none of this ever happened. Guzzo's use of the term "creepy" are his words, and not those of the actress; if this is how it was, then she would have never called me or communicated with me afterwards. - CAP).... I didn't want your help with audio because you are CREEPY, INSANE, and PSYCHO and a LIAR (his opinion, as there is no proof. If anything, this is proof that there is discrimination in the self-proclaimed Tampa indie film community. Also, he formed this opinion BEFORE he knew anything about me and BEFORE the infamous film set fiasco? I was wondering about the source of those rumors.... - CAP) - I don't believe you have any equipment (actually, I really do. I have lots of professional equipment, and it will be used in my events, such as the upcoming Tampa Film Showcase monthly film festival. I have never lied to, misled, or misrepresented myself or my capabilities to Paul Guzzo or anyone else, and I have proof. They have nothing but slander. - CAP). You were snubbed at the TFN because you're irrelevant (that's what you think. You picked a fight with the wrong professional. Maybe some of the others roll over, take it, or give up when you trash them, but I fight back. I fight for my rights. - CAP).

I am hated by A LOT more important people than you (LOL... right. - CAP) ... trust me on that (I don't, and many other don't, as well. - CAP). I have a casting agent in LA for big films who bad mouths for no reaons to people who don't know me ... I've been yelled at by MAyor Greco, the Chief of Police, County Commissioners, and so on .... it happens when you work your ass to achieve something in life, to make life better for the community (does anyone really fall for this B.S.? Oh, wait, there are a few suckers who DID, and I am not one of them, nor am I any fool! -CAP). You ruffle feathers ... You do nothing like this - youre lonely (What?!?! Where did this come from? I have real friends, Guzzo, which isn't something that you can claim. Oh, and my friends are the important professionals who you want to work with, too. -CAP) and only build websites to look important (Too funny. My web sites are professional business marketing tools. It's funny that many of my design ideas happened to show up on some other sites soon after I introduced myself to you. - CAP). So your opinion means nothing (You're wrong, Guzzo. My opinion carries a lot of weight with the professionals who you want to work with. You're an idiot, Guzzo. You really, really misjudge me. Not only is it your loss, but get ready for a big surprise. - CAP).

BUT, I am sick and fucking tired (nice professional use of language, Mr. "Good Guy". Oh, that's right, I'm supposed to be the bad guy! - CAP) of you taking shots at the TFR filmmakers by calling their films crap. There is no need for that. There is no need to slam young filmmakers just to feel important. Just because you are inadequate about being a no one and mad that I snubbed you is no reason to continue to slam filmmakers trying to create something and working so hard to complete their films. The TFR is not for the Sundance films - it is an outlet for EVERYONE (Agreed, and that's not a good thing! - CAP).

SO keep writing about me - but DO NOT EVER write anything nasty about a young TFR filmmaker again! STOP! Some of us are trying to build something in this community - something positive (I write what needs to be said. None of my reviews or articles have any malicious intent, and if they come off as attacks this is only because you are insecure about negative press. I am professional enough to tell it how it is. and if you don't like my qualified opinions, fix what is wrong! - CAP).

When Nolan slams a film, he does so with kiddy gloves to help the filmmaker - you did it on your website to be petty and vindictive (No, I did not. It needed to be stated. Also, Nolan is a part of your clique, he pats you on the back while censoring your critics, and what he writes is questionable at best - CAP).

I think you should write an apology - not to me (I figure you hate me more now that I called you what you are - a nothing) (No, I don't hate you, Paul. This sort of behavior is what I have come to expect from you. Additionally, I consider the source when it comes to any opinion, and in my opinion you have no real credibility, so your opinion does not concern me in the least bit.- CAP) but to the filmmakers for saying TFR shows crappy films - that is a slam on them (No it isn't. It reflects on you because you have the poor judgment to show them. -CAP)!

Do not post this on your site (try to stop me- the world will see just how you really are. - CAP) on Nolans (Nolan has a biased web site with an audience of 12 people, and it is not worth the effort to post on it- CAP) - I kept it off to not embarass you and because I am tired of all of this (No you didn't. you kept it off so you could try to maintain that squeaky clean good guy image that you need for credibility - CAP). Never mention my name again, never come to an event I am at again ... get some "professional help" (dude, you're insane - you write about talking to models at TFR - I am at every TFR you idiot and have never seen you talk to anyone but us! - you have NO friends, let alone model friends) (another delusion of Paul Guzzo. The truth? I've always told the truth. Many, many filmmakers at the TFR have also met my model and actor friends, but Paul always ignored all of us. I have all of the models and the actors that these people need for their film attempts, and now, for some reason, a lot of them are not interested in working with them. I wonder why.... - CAP) ... and apologize to the filmmakers for being so "unprofessional."

Keep the parts about the audio problems and so on up ... that's not a lie ... and keep your personal atacks on me up .... they destroy your credibility (I am in no way concerned about you or your small indie film clique destroying my credibility. You have no capability to make good on your threats. In fact, your unprofessional behavior and rumor-spreading will prove to be the undoing of your credibility and your career! - CAP) (if not for them, I would have agreed with the review and thought it was good). ... but apologize to the filmmakers for slamming them to bother me (NO! I will not apoligize because I am not wrong. - CAP).
